FoodFactly does not require an account, does not set tracking cookies and does not use third-party analytics or advertising.

• Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) for security and to fix errors. They are deleted automatically after a few weeks.
• Searches are processed to return results and are not linked to you. Searching for a barcode we do not have may trigger a look-up of that barcode at Open Food Facts; no personal data is sent.
• Product photos load from Open Food Facts servers, which receive your IP address as with any web request.
• The installable app stores pages in your browser's cache for offline use; you can clear it in your browser settings.

The site is hosted in the European Union.
